Recently, the yoga studio announced a new class sure to perk up even the most sedentary of couch potatoes: Hot Yoga and Coffee.

Hot Yoga and Coffee – the perfect match

Hot yoga is already well-known for its many benefits, ranging from improved strength, mobility and flexibility, to improved endurance, fat loss and enhanced health parameters such as reduced blood pressure.

While excessive coffee (or caffeine) intake prior to hot yoga sessions is not advisable, a cup or two of America’s favorite hot beverage prior to physical activity has been shown in studies to yield a number of benefits.

Studies have shown that coffee can increase metabolism, improve fat oxidation (i.e. burning more fat for energy), and its natural antioxidants can even enhance recovery after your session.
