Dr. Sabrina Caliendo Chiropractor in Stonybrook, NY & Founder of Nurture Wellbeing Receives Woman of Honor Award

Dr. Sabrina Caliendo is a long way from her original home in Bournemouth, Southern England, but her path to today has been a long exciting path with significant rewards for many. Originally graduating in 2000 from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic Medicine in England in 2000, Caliendo quickly made a name for herself in the practice, and eventually established a role on the St. James Chiropractic team in Shirley, Southampton. But she wasn’t going to stay away from Bournemouth for long in her early years. Caliendo returned in 2004, bringing Wave of Life Wellness Center into being. What started as a simple chiropractic clinic expanded quickly into a whole health wellness resource as well as an education center for the community.

In her work at Wave of Life, Caliendo mastered the Network Spinal Chiropractic methodology, a key procedure in central nervous system healing that teaches the patient’s body to begin healing itself. Many are familiar with the brain’s ability to map new neural pathways after a blockage or injury; the rest of the nervous system can also do similar work. Caliendo adapted treatment procedures that specifically help the body to initiate its own healing process and re-learn how to function properly with nervous system response again. This project would eventually evolve in a holistic approach an ocean away revolving around health, family, children and community, and in 2015 Caliendo established Nurture Wellbeing Chiropractic PC in Stony Brook, New York.

She is licensed and experienced in many forms of Chiropractic, including Cranial Work, Nutrition, Chirodontics, Pediatrics, Emotional Release Work, and Women’s Health. She is at Mastery Level in Network Spinal, a member of the New York Chiropractic Council, a member of the European Chiropractic Union, and a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association. She is a published writer and acts as a mentor to many chiropractors in the field.

Caliendo recently received the Woman of Honor Award for the Gaia’s Essence Women’s Health Conference in 2018, specifically in the category of Sciences and Contribution to the Community, a very prestigious award for her hard work. She will be a featured speaker at the 2019 Gaia’s Essence Women’s Health Conference. Caliendo will also be featured in the upcoming book, Expert Profiles: Conversations with Influencers and Innovators.
