Tagged “Thrilla in Davao,” the 12-round fight for the GBO world Heavyweight Title will be another memorable day in the history in the Philippines as RED Boxing and GBO, a governing international sanctioning body organizes a fight to honor the last Heavyweight championship fight 44 years ago “Thrilla in Manila” that featured Muhammad Ali vs Joe Frazier.

April 23 will be another milestone for RED Boxing, with the international media conference of “Thrilla in Davao,” is scheduled to take place at Filipino American Community of Los Angeles, 1740 W. Temple St., Los Angeles, at 7pm. The press event will have the likes of Ray J, entrepreneur, reality star, and singer in attendance.

Ray J will also be sponsoring the fight through his brand, Raycon Global, along with his new deal with LOOPShare that recently bought his company, Skoot-E-bike. “This is a great opportunity to show the world our products with this historic fight. My wife Princess is half Filipino and we have a special love for the Filipino people. When Ron told me he was fighting I had to jump on and show him support as he has always supported all my business ventures. Ron Johnson is a tremendous business man and even better fighter so Im looking forward to him becoming the GBO heavyweight champion of the World,” says Ray J.

“Thrilla in Davao” is coming 44 years after Don King brought the first and only heavyweight championship in the Philippines dubbed as “Thrilla in Manila,” and will be held at the hometown of President Duterte, and the presenter of the GBO Heavyweight title Belt and Baham Mitra Chairman of Games and Amusement Board.
