The first kid’s fashion brand in Ireland is set to bring the kids fashion world alive. SoQ Kids was founded in September 2017 and is the brainchild of Lin, a mother of two. This new brand wants to put Ireland on the map for children’s fashion wear and give children their own fashion identity by focusing on trendy styles.
Since being launched, the brand has gained a great deal of media exposure due to how SoQ is changing the fashion world for children. One of the problems according to Lin, is too many children due to buying on the high street are seeing other children wearing the same clothes as them. She wants to change that.
A generation ago, kids were ignored by the fashion world with parents buying their children cheap and cheerful clothes from high street stores without thinking about their children’s fashion identity. Fashion stores and designers aimed their fashion at teens and grownups as this was where they believed most of the money was being spent. Slowly things have changed, but according to Lin, things have not changed enough, and she wants to change that.

When asked about her fashion brand Lin replied: “I want children to love the clothes they are wearing and not to suffer a fashion disaster by seeing so many other children wearing the same clothes they are. My fashion brand gives children their own fashion identity, allowing them to feel special and individual.”
