SKTNET SYSTEMS has partnered with KTB Securities (Thailand) Public Company Limited in the development of the brand new KTBST Social Trading Platform, which was officially launched on 12 March 2019. SKYNET SYSTEMS is set to organize the SKYNET Master Tournament where all traders are welcomed to join and compete from 2-30 April 2019 with the total prize pool of 100,000 Baht at stake.
Mr. Pipat Rungruang, SKYNET SYSTEMS CEO, has announced the partnership between SKYNET STSTEMS and KTB Securities (Thailand) Public Company Limited with the official launch of the KTBST SOCIAL TRADING platform. SKYNET SYSTEMS is set to organize the “SKYNET Master Tournament” where participants will compete in trading stocks in SET100. With the total prize pool of 100,000 Baht at stake, the tournament will take place from 2-30 April 2019. Throughout the course of the tournament, a participant with the best trading performance for each day will receive the Daily Top Master Performance prize worth 5,000 Baht. Moreover, the Top Master Tournament prize worth 10,000 Baht will be awarded to a trader with the best net trading performance when the tournament concludes.
Mr. Chatree Rojana-arpa, Senior Executive Vice President Strategy and Product Development KTB Securities (Thailand) Public Company Limited (KTBST), believes that this tournament will serve as the beginning of the search for “Masters” whose performance will be based on their actual trading activities of stocks in the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET). Apart from the opportunity to win prizes in the tournament, participants will also get to show their trading performances to “Followers” once KTBST makes the social trading feature available on the KTBST Social Trading Platform. Through this feature, Followers, people interested to invest but lack the knowledge and experience, will be able to structure their portfolio after a Master of their choice. The platform will rank all Masters based on their trading performances and let Followers decide who they want to follow. By following a Master, Followers will gain access to information on what stock the Master is buying/selling and also at what price in real time. At the same time, Masters will have the option to educate their Followers by sharing their thoughts and reasons behind each trade they make. The purpose of this feature is to make for a better investment society in Thailand as it removes the key barrier to successful investing and enables beginners to make more informed investing decisions.
It is important to note that while this feature is now ready for KTBST customers to use, rules and regulations pertaining to Social Trading are yet to be made clear by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Thailand. As a result, it is necessary for KTBST to wait for more clarity on such topic before making the feature available. Nonetheless, anyone interested in seeing how this feature works can now open a Securities Account with KTBST and select to use demo version of KTBST Social Trading and try it out firsthand.
For anyone interested to participate in the SKYNET Stock Master Tournament, a Securities Account (Cash Balance) has to be opened with KTBST first with the minimum deposit required of 50,000 Baht. More deposits can be made to the account at any time. However, withdrawals are not allowed during the course of the tournament. The first round is now open for registration until 20 March 2019 and will take place from 2-30 April 2019.
