There will never be another Nat King Cole, the greatest entertainer and first Black American crossover artist of the US. To pay tribute to the legend, the globally acclaimed Freddy Cole Trio, featuring 4-time Grammy Nominee Freddy Cole, will present ‘Nat King Cole: The Man. The Music. The Legacy… (A Family Affair)’. The event will be held on Sunday, April 14 at 2:30pm at Atlanta’s Southwest Arts Center.

The Cole family tradition of musical excellence continues with the Nat King Cole Centennial event. Sponsored by Royalty Productions, the show will highlight not only the music, but also the life and rich legacy of Nat King Cole. The afternoon’s festivities begin with the Sweet Lu Quartet’s tribute to Nat King Cole, which features nationally renowned artists Louis Heriveaux (piano), Craig Shaw (bass), Jacques Lesure (guitar), Frankie Quinones (percussions) and Sweet Lu Olutosin (vocals). 

Considered to be one of the greatest entertainers to ever live, Nat King Cole sold more records than Frank Sinatra. Cole’s popularity still lingers as we can hear his music played around the world. The event will also make everyone ponder whether the world really knows Cole’s true story, and what does his legacy mean to America today?

The Sweet Lu Quartet, comprising talented Billboard charting, Grammy contending musicians, will celebrate this legacy. The musicians have appeared in all 50 states, Mexico, Japan, and throughout Europe as ambassadors for Jazz music. Their recent notable performances include the Kennedy Center, Aspen Colorado, New York City, and Los Angeles, CA.
