Imagine for a moment—you open up your lunchbox, and your food is already piping hot and ready to eat. It doesn’t matter if you’re in the office, at the gym, in your truck, or miles into a hike, a new Kickstarter campaign is bringing this concept into reality with a breakthrough gadget: an automatic, completely cordless, self-heated lunchbox.
Aptly titled, “LunchEAZE” is a self-heating lunchbox that needs no external power source and heats your food automatically according to your schedule, literally anywhere you are, right when you want it.
LunchEAZE works with its mobile app, which is compatible with both Android and iOS but can also be controlled entirely without the app.“We are here to make lunchtime something everyone can enjoy properly,” said Uzair Mohammad from the LunchEAZE team, “Everybody eats, and everybody knows the struggle of trying to enjoy hot, healthy food if you don’t have easy access to microwaves at work.”
The campaign is geared to raise around $ 20,000 by April 11, 2019.
“Skip the microwave, and skip the fast food. We want everybody to be able to enjoy a real hot meal no matter where they are. People like first responders, construction workers, truckers, outdoors-people, students—they have to eat too, but they’ve got no options outside of greasy fast food or cold sandwiches. Even at the office, the hassle of sharing the microwave, food getting cold again after 5 minutes, uneven heating, there’s clearly a better way to be doing this”
“We imagined, what if there was a lunchbox that could heat your food for you? Yes, heat-up lunchboxes are not new, but they come with the additional hassle of cords. We don’t think it counts as a ‘lunchbox’ if it needs to be plugged in, which is why LunchEAZE is completely cordless. It had to be easy to use too, so we made it automatic—just set up a meal time, and it’ll take care of it. Hot food, anywhere, right when you wanted it, that was the vision, and we nailed it. We’re done with successful prototyping and testing, and with the generous support of our Kickstarter backers, we’re all prepared to push this into mass production.”

LunchEAZE is available in 36 color combinations and runs on a UL-certified Lithium-ion battery.
