Resort Travel & Xchange, the North Carolina-based timeshare and vacation ownership exchange company ended 2018 on a philanthropic high note with its annual Casino Night Fundraiser.
Now in its 6th year, RTX’s Casino Night Fundraiser unites all partner businesses from Zealandia Holding Company to raise money for local charities. In addition to its usual donation to Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry, 2018’s Casino Night Fundraiser also donated money to Foundation For the Carolinas; a Hurricane Florence relief organization. Through this charity event, RTX was able to give almost $5,000 to help victims in the Carolinas who were affected by Hurricane Florence that devastated the region in September 2018.
RTX also raised $11,400 for Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry’s Christmas Angel program; a local organization that provides Christmas gifts for underprivileged children. In addition to the money raised for ABCCM during the Casino Night Fundraiser, several RTX employees volunteered as “Christmas elves” and personally shopped for gifts to give to ABCCM.
“Our employees are passionate about this event and we are always honored to be able to help children in our community through ABCCM. This year, we found it important to extend our reach to the coastal communities impacted by Hurricane Florence, as our partner companies have resort employees who live in the impacted areas,” said Sara Little, senior creative director for RTX and event organizer.
