This recent donation is part of the company’s generalized efforts to support causes benefiting veterans across the U.S.
The Wounded Warrior Project is a non-profit organization that offers a variety of programs, services and events for veterans wounded during the military actions following September 11th, 2001, as well as their families. The charity runs several dedicated programs that help veterans transition to a productive civilian life, such as the Combat Stress Recovery Program, which provides them with the support they need to overcome mental health issues stemming from time spent on the frontlines, as well as the Independence Program, that is designed to help warriors afflicted with neurological or spinal damage take positive steps towards independent living.
In addition to the aforementioned programs, The Wounded Warrior Project offers a wealth of resources; family support, and peer support that allow both wounded veterans and their families to get the appropriate information and care they need as they settle in their new realities of living with permanent injuries. So far, The Wounded Warrior Project has served more than 90,000 veterans, while, it is estimated that, at the time of writing, a further 320,000 veterans, who are experiencing debilitating brain trauma; and 500,000, who are living with invisible wounds in the form of depression to PTSD, are also in direct need of the charity’s services.
