Former Foster/Adopted Child Seeks to Personally Thank NFL Legend Peyton Manning

Phoenix – January 17, 2019 – Starbucks and dinner tabs are not the only things that can be paid forward. Sometimes, like in the case of Bathsheba Adams, acts of humanitarian kindness can be passed on down the line as well.

When Bathsheba was only 13, her life was changed forever by the kindness of a man named Peyton Manning. Now, she is searching for him, hoping to let him know how grateful she is.

Bathsheba’s lot in life had been a tough one. She was 1 of 10 children who were taken from their mother who suffered from schizophrenia and was unable to care for them, she had attempted to murder them on several occasions.

Within the foster care system, Bathsheba’s life continued to be traumatized. She was separated from her siblings and then was place into a severely dysfunctional home where she suffered physical, mental, and sexual abuse.

By the time she reached the beginning of her tender teenage years, Bathsheba was at the end of her rope, mentally. It was then that she met the NFL legend, then quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts, Peyton Manning.

Meeting Manning was only half of the story, however. The quarterback was gracious and kind to her as well as to the other children in foster care. He generously donated toys and assisted them with necessities. It was an act of love she would never forget.

Bathsheba is an adult now and is paying it forward in the honor of Peyton Manning who changed the course of her life forever. She has launched her own nonprofit organization, “Eyes Like Mine Inc.” which is dedicated to foster and adopted children.

Plans are underway to open schools, churches, recreational centers, warehouses, transitional housing and other facilities that will directly benefit foster and adopted children and families who are caring for them.

“We have no limitations on what we will do to help our foster and adopted children,” stated an Eyes Like Mine representative. “We provide awareness and assist with clothes, shoes, toiletries, toys, counseling, mentoring, grants/scholarships funds for school, transportation, trips, food, and anything else we can give or do to help these deserving children.”

Now a full-time humanitarian, Bathsheba is now diligently searching for the man who dramatically touched her life by paying it forward and helping her and countless other foster and adopted youth. She hopes to one day be able to thank Manning and to personally tell him how he changed her entire life in that fateful brief meeting, an encounter that is now becoming full circle.
