On 9th, December, 2018 Annul Congress of Asia-Pacific Space Designs & Founding Congress of China Association for Asian Economic Development and Promotion of Space Designs (Hereinafter referred to as China Association for the Promotion of Asia Space Designs) was held in Wyndham Beijing North Hotel. Leaders from competent organizations, master’s in design, designers and suppliers representative presented the congress. China Association for Asian Economic Development is a national association registered in Ministry of Civil Affairs and supervised by Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the council meeting, the vice chairman of China Association for Asian Economic Development, Luo Jianfeng announced the decision of the competent organization. Zhang Xin, the representative of the initiators of CAPASD introduced the purposes, significance and future development in details.

Wang Taiping, Zhe Yongguang and Wang Qiyan were selected as the honorary presidents. Luo Jianfeng was selected as the president and Zhang Xin as the vice-president and secretary-general. The congress also produced vice-presidents, Ma Kexin, Wang He, Liu Beiguang, Sun Jiansheng, Li Qi en, Hai Tao and Yuan Zongnan. Dong Zi and Liu Zhuhua became the vice-secretary-general.

After that, the counselor of Beijing Municipal Government and Hebei Provincial Government, doctoral supervisor of Renmin University of China, Wang Qiyan gave a lecture, “The Importance of Founding Space Design Organization under the Guidance of the Belt and Road Initiative”. Liu Beiguang, professor of Academy of arts & design, Tsinghua University delivered a speech with the title of “The Foundation and Future of the Association”. Wang He, vice-president of the  Architectural Design and Research Institute of Guangzhou university had a speech on “Promoting Space Designs and Building Beautiful China”.Li Qi en, Chairman of the Board of APEX Design Consultant Co. brought a speech, “Space Designs and Wonderful Life”.

Participants from all walks of life signed “Initial Written Proposal for APSDA”. The proposal pointed out that the mission of the union is to build a platform for the development of design industry and promote sound and orderly development with the prospection of the union: the most influential academic union in the Asia-Pacific region and the world at large. The spirit of the union is originality, sharing, cooperation, and development. Pursuing excellence endless and keeping pace with time are the management idea of the union.

At last, the founding ceremony which is the most crucial part of the annual congress was held. Invited guests and leaders stepped on the stage to start the lighting ceremony in fierce ,applauses. Witnessed by more than thousands of guests, designers and hundreds of media, China Association for the Promotion of Asia Space Designs was founded. Wang Taiping, who is the former vice-director of the Department of Policy Studies, Ministry of Foreign Affairs，honorary president of China Association for Asian Economic Development and ambassador to Japan, addressed the foundation.

After the foundation ceremony, Luo Jianfeng addressed the congress and expressed warm congratulations. He said, “The foundation of China Association for the Promotion of Asia Space Designs is keeping with the trend of new era, and it’s a supplement and update for the work areas of China Association for Asian Economic Development”. He also expressed his anticipation. He hoped that under the guidance of China Association for Asian Economic Development, the association for the promotion would comply with state laws and regulations of Ministry of Civil Affairs; function in an effective and standing way; and contribute to economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges among Asian countries, the Belt and Road construction and friendly cooperation and economic prosperity with other Asian countries.
