New Book Publisher Bushel & Peck Books on a Mission to Bring Children’s Books to a Child In Need

December 01 02:05 2018
Two-thirds of low-income American families have limited access to books for their children, which ultimately creates an “achievement gap” between high and low-income families. In some low-income neighborhoods, there is an average of one book per 300 children. Each year, millions of books are published for kids, yet many people can’t afford them.

Bushel & Peck Books is on a mission to change that by offering ornately created children’s books centering on topics designed to inspire, empower, motivate, and unite. When one book is sold, Bushel & Peck Books will give one book to a child in need with what’s called the Book-for-Book Promise.

Bushel & Peck Books has already secured distribution through a top distributor, and the company will also offer its books on channels such as Amazon, brick and mortar bookstores, and retailers.

The first book from Bushel & Peck Books is “50 Real Heroes for Boys: True Stories of Courage, Integrity, Kindness, Empathy, Compassion, and More!”, and the second will be “Yes You Can! 1,000 Women Who Proved That Girls Can Do Anything”.

Bushel & Peck Books aims to raise $75,000 through the Kickstarter campaign, Backers will be receiving a range of unique awards, including the Christmas Express bundle with a personalized booklet on writing and illustrating, a tree planted in a child’s honor, a personal letter from the founders, one book received, and one book donated; The Christmas Special including a phone call with the authors, a customized hero poster, hardcover book of choice, and chance to vote for an upcoming hero; and more.
