GRIEF COACHES ANNOUNCE A HOLIDAY GRIEF HOTLINE

November 30 09:44 2018
The holiday season heightens the emotions of grief to individuals suffering the loss of loved ones.

Whether one has experienced the loss of a loved one this year, or many years ago, the holidays always heighten the memories, as well as the emptiness. This is the season of happiness, joy, family togetherness, and family traditions. But for those who have lost loved ones, it might be a time of sadness, loneliness, and despair. The sights, sounds, smells of the holiday season can’t be avoided and many feel that others have even forgotten about their loss.

Dora Carpenter, Founder of the From Grief to Gratitude Coach Certification Program, says that sometimes we simply need a compassionate and non-judgmental listening ear. In the spirit of gratitude, our certified grief coaches are offering complimentary 30-minute chats to individuals coping with holiday grief from December 1 through December 15, 2018.

The Holiday Grief Hotline [833-30-GRIEF or (833) 304-7433] is available from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. EST and 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. EST. Your grief journey is unique to you, but you don’t have to grieve alone. It’s our way of giving back during this holiday season.

Many clients have asked if they can simply make the holiday season disappear and skip straight to the New Year. Knowing the pitfalls of holiday grief and how to handle and even avoid them, eases emotions of anxiety, stress, and overwhelm during the holiday season. The emotions of loss are natural and normal, and there is no standard operating procedure or right or wrong way to grieve, but is a necessary process or journey that one must go through. From Grief to Gratitude Certified Coaches offer effective tips and tools for coping with holiday grief as they empower individuals to cherish the dear memories of their loved ones while embracing their future as they move forward. Our goal is to journey with individuals to help them go from pain to peace, heartbreak to happiness, and grief to gratitude in the shortest time possible.

Dora Carpenter says that death can teach us so much about not only the fragility of life, but life itself. When we are able to navigate this grief journey, take action and do the grief work, we find meaning and purpose in our lives going forward.
