Clayton York is Prime’s new Light Heavyweight Champion

Professional MMA fighter and the undefeated Clayton York beats Justus Faaiu to become the new Light Heavyweight Champion at the just concluded Prime Fighting 11

Clayton York is a professional MMA fighter that has become increasingly popular over the years for his amazing athleticism and display in the ring, which has seen him go undefeated in 5 bouts. The talented athlete recently reestablished himself as a force to reckon with at the 2018 edition of Prime Fighting, tagged, Prime Fighting 11 where he became the new Light Heavyweight Champion, beating another talented fighter in the person of Justus Faaiu by submission in the first round of the fight.

It was another amazing event at the 2018 edition of the annual Washington State Sanctioned professional MMA event organized by Prime Fighting LLC. Tagged Prime Fighting 11, the 2018 edition of the event was another showcase of talent and athleticism at its best, featuring a host of fighters from different categories. Over the years, Prime Fighting has treated lovers of mixed martial arts in Washington and its surrounding area to the best of fights and Prime Fighting 11 was not a difference.

Organized as a platform to help grow the sport in Washington and across the globe, Prime Fighting serves as a platform to give fighters the needed exposure to become successful in their trade and it has been living up to the billing since its first edition.

Fighting in the light heavyweight category, Clayton York, popularly known as York faced a strong opposition in Faaiu from Ewa Beach, HI. However, the amazing fighter was able to defeat his opponent in the first round of the fight, winning by submission with a rear naked choke for 3 minutes and 48 seconds. The win ensured that York continued his streak, making it 5 wins out of 5 for the champion. The fight was refereed by Ryan Hoisington with Marlon Perry, Riley Gangle, and Glenn Roy being the judges.

Clayton York fights at Light heavyweight (205lbs) as a professional MMA fighter.  The Portland Oregon athlete will be defending his title March 23, 2019, against a yet to be announced opponent.

Other fighters that were at Prime Fighting 11 include San Jose, Bring, Hill, Shelton, Branom, Gee, and Nuro. Held at the Clark County Event Center, the all-ages event also had female fighters showing their talents, some of which include Hill, Sebala, and Mergner.
