His nomination was due to accolades of remarkable achievement in the industry, service to the community, and contribution towards the enhancement of the Virginia Dental Association (VDA).
Virginia Dental Association (VDA) is a non-profit organization whose vision is to continually improve the quality of dental education and treatment within the state of Virginia. It is affiliated with the American Dental Association (ADA). The association has a tripartite structure which enables members to be part of three associations at once: the “national association”, “state association”, and the local or “component” dental society. The VDA has a Board of Directors who govern and direct the association.
Members of the association comprise of some of the brightest specialists in general and cosmetic dentistry with several awards for their career excellence. They share the corporate mission of representing and serving member dentists by fostering quality oral health care and education through core values such as integrity, compassion, social responsibility, and embracing diversity.

The ADA Fellowship is a class of ADA members who by special devotion to the Virginia Dental Association, and to the profession of dentistry, have given their time and energy to support their local component society. After nominations, reviews are made and those who meet the qualifications, as stated in the Fellows Bylaws, are elected VDA Fellowship by the Committee.
