Favorite and Famous Restaurants Near Allen, TX

October 17 14:00 2018

“Where’s dad going with those clubs?” I said to my mother, as I watched him wave the both of us on to climb into our family minivan. It was Saturday night. I was in my first year of college and visiting home for a much overdue family visit.

That was a few years ago, but I can still remember that day like it was yesterday. As a single child, I have many fond memories hanging out with my parents. My friends are astonished when I tell them this, but it’s the most natural thing to me; it’s all I’ve known. Many of our group excursions are food-related.

A Foodie Family

We love to sample the delicious food offerings at the many and varied restaurants that are always popping up in our city of Allen, TX. In one of my classes, I even wrote a full report on one of our late night adventures.

If you happen to be a food lover and live in Allen, you don’t have to look far to find great places to eat.

The Breakdown

THE Cajun Place is a frequent place we’ve always visited, mainly because we pretty much like a little (a lot) spice in everything we consume. The Happy Hour! drink specials and beer on tap are awesome, too.

Uncle Julio’s is yet another favorite. When we can’t decide on just which place to visit, we pull out our Smart Phone. After punching in a few numbers, using the Google My Business app. When you’re hungry, the info contained is right at hand. Especially when we don’t have time to be driving all over the place to locate the best way to enter a new establishment. You may not believe this, but all three of us love their salads!

Romano’s Macaroni Grill is where we’ve always gone for parties and such. I don’t want to come off sounding like an advertisement for them. But to be honest, everything I’ve ever tried was great.

When we want to eat delicious food and then go and hit the links. TopGolf combines a combination of good food, a bar and a driving (no kidding) range. The first time we visited the place I understood why dad had brought along his clubs

To be honest, this is the kind of place I would own if I had the business acumen and financial resources. To me, they’re Chuck-E-Cheese for grown-ups. The well-healed kind. Just saying.

I now bring along my new three-person (Fiancé/Todd/Adrienne) from the university. Sometimes we are in the mood for some serious munching and crunching. Other times our trio go in for something more active. You already know the place we visit.

The great thing is though, whether I’m with my family-crew or school-crew, it’s always an enjoyable experience. I don’t have to tell you, a night out with the people you love is always rewarding. Wolfing down yummy food at the restaurants above just takes it to another level.

By knowing what we particularly like we keep our selections at manageable levels. By returning to these few again and again, we know for sure they’re a notch above standard food and drink fare.

Will it be to your taste? Only you can decide that. But if it’s an early Saturday night and you happen to find yourself in the Allen, TX. I feel safe in stating you should try the above restaurants listed above. They’re that good, in my humble opinion.
