My name is Daniel Sky. I was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland.

I am a trumpet player currently studying at Berklee College of Music and Berklee Global Jazz Institute. This institute is an extraordinary place where I have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best jazz musicians of our time such as Danilo Perez (Wyne Shorter Quartet), Terri Lyne Carrington, Joe Lovano, Dave Liebman, George Garzone and John Patitucci.

I have been wondering about my debut album for a very long time. The vision and my biggest dream is to record and share with you a debut album, which will be the fruit of the work of a group of people who feel and understand music of our times the way I feel it. Right now I have a unique once in a lifetime opportunity to play with some of the best players in the world:

• Kenny Werner – jazz pianist, composer and lecturer who performed in past with Elvin Jones, Dizzy Gillespie, Charles Mingus, Stan Getz, Toots Thielemans and contemporary artists as Chris Potter, Esperanza Spalding, Path Metheny, Ambrose Akinmusire and John Scofield. Kenny Werner is also very well known by publishing his book “Efortless Mastery Liberating The Master Musicians Within”.

• Billy Kilson – Grammy award winning drummer, composer. Very important member of Dave Holland, Dianne Reeves, Chris Botti and George Duke in the past.

• Tiger Okoshi – jazz and fusion trumpet player, composer, great educator (my mentor). Tiger performed with Gary Burton, Bill Frisell, Buddy Rich and George Russell.

Also featuring other incredibly talented musicians that I met at Berklee (Anton Derevyenko, Stefano Battaglia, Kento Tsubosaka, Julian Pardo) the band is ready to record my original compositions.

To be able to accomplish this exciting project and graduate from Berklee College of Music with possibly the best debut album, I need your help. Unfortunately, the amount of money which I need is too much for me. The goal is to collect a $9000. This budget will cover all expenses of a 2-day studio recording session, fees for musicians, pruducer and engineer as well as for printing CD’s.

The campaign is ALL-OR-NOTHING, which causes additional challenges for me.
